Conflict management has moved away from the courtroom to mediation sessions with a trained mediator.  COVID has caused a backlog in legal proceedings resulting in court dates being set as far off as 18 months. Court Ordered Mediation has become a norm. Some Judges order Civil Mediation before booking court dates, hoping that conflicts are resolved outside of a courtroom.
